Envision a beautiful, quiet & serene place on the beach. Now imagine you are there and no one is asking anything from you. No cooking, driving or managing schedules. In this moment you are not an employee, mom, wife, daughter, caretaker or any of your daily titles; you simply exist & allow yourself to ask "what do I need today".
This retreat makes that vision a reality. For 5 day & 4 nights, you will be completely free of obligations & have no expectations to meet.

Step outside your back door & take the trails that lead you right to the beach to stroll along the sand, or take a short 5 minute walk to find local eateries in town. Want a break from the ocean & town? The peaceful Yaquina state park is only 1 block from the home & offers easy trails to wander amongst the trees.
This retreat is all about you, you can choose to see many things, or nothing at all. This home will provide a judgment free zone for all attending. All options are good options.
Newport Oregon in August provides the perfect lounging beach weather. It tends to be mid 60's during the day with crisp mornings & evenings, allowing us to utilize the large conversational firepit right on the back deck.
Wake up at your leisure & enjoy the crisp morning ocean air while sipping on your coffee/tea (that was made for you!). Choose to participate in the days workshops/sessions/meals/group activities, or simply nap in a lounge chair listening to the waves crash. This entire retreat is based upon resetting your nervous system in the first few days so that you can fully immerse in relaxation the rest of the time.
I chose a home walking distance to many things so that every one can decide for themselves in that moment what they need, but please rest assured there is nothing you NEED to do. In fact, I would love to see you lounging in sweats and napping all day if that's what feels right.

Joshua Tree National Park is more then just a simple desert east of Los Angeles. The park embraces parts of two distinct deserts—the Mojave and Sonoran—as it tumbles down from the heights into the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs. These two desert systems divide California's southernmost national park into two arid ecosystems of profoundly contrasting appearance. With this divide comes vastly different landscapes to soak in.
From hiking some of the country’s most scenic trails and seeing the unique flora and fauna, to exploring unique desert museums and seeing the spectacular sunsets and starry night skies, Joshua Tree is a place you fall in love with. Joshua Tree National Park is known for its incredible rock formations, & we won't be missing out on seeing plenty of those on our guided hikes.
During our visit, we will find ourselves immersed in nature many times throughout this retreat. Outdoor yoga, rock climbing, multiple guided hikes, journaling in the park & more. Here in nature we will learn to reconnect with our bodies & emotions as we release our tensions and stresses. Basking in the nourishment that nature has gifted us with.

Brimming with rainforests & beaches, Costa Rica is famous for its natural beauty. Costa Rica is known for its 30 national parks & is home to 5% of the world's biodiversity! My absolute favorite part of Costa Rica was seeing how quickly the landscape can change. In less time than it takes me to drive to Los Angeles, the landscape in Costa Rica transformed from bustling city, to farmland, to rainforest to beach. I have never experienced something so amazing. It is truly an astoundingly beautiful country surrounded by the Pacific Ocean & the Caribbean Sea.
Tucked away on the pacific side of Costa Rica, Playa Brasilito sits quietly awaiting the tourists who will flock to enjoy its beauty during tourism season, which begins around Christmas/new years. Who can blame them, with beaches such as "seashell beach" where the sand is replaced with tiny shells & a short walking distance from our accommodations. With an authentic Costa Rican town feel, Brasilito offers a low-key atmosphere & multiple beaches to walk to. Here we will participate in activities & practices that cultivate mindfulness, balance, gratitude & happiness.
One of the best known Costa Rican mottos is "pura vida", which means "pure life" & Costa Ricans take this to heart. This is probably why the country is considered one of the happiest in the world. During this retreat we will cultivate new friendships, advance your yoga practice (all levels), relax by the water, experience once in a lifetime activities & ultimately find peace within ourselves.
